1.  Given the available media that we now have in the world, what are the roles & functions in a Democratic society?


Media is all around us, society is constantly interacting with social mediums for their own gratification, that gratification could be keeping contact with friend and family or it could be sharing your experiences with the world through pictures and videos.



 Another gratification could be finding information easily and quickly using things such as the internet.  The Internet allows the improvement of travel agencies and tour operators by speeding up communication and providing all the necessary information.



Radio broadcasts can provide real-time information, broadcast-ed 24 hours a day to provide the most recent updates to listeners. Stations have the ability to reach across borders and become a source of information where reliable news is scarce. Even electricity is not a necessity for battery operated and hand-cranked radios.


 Newspapers are to spread factually accurate information about publicly relevant events and  Newspapers not only inform, they also contextualize and comment on information they provide. 




Like most other media, magazines seek to inform, persuade and entertain their audiences and put before them advertising messages of national, regional, state and city scope and Magazines are in many ways the ideal medium for serious treatment of the major issues of our daily life.

So, in Democratic society those Medias help us to spread information. Media makes us aware of various social, political and economical activities happening around the world. It is like a mirror, which shows us or strives to show us the bare truth and harsh realities of life.



2. In what way does media affects your life?




In my 17 years of existing, media helps me to build a relationship and interact other people.Through television and radio programs,I learn about health matters, environmental conservation, and much more. It  Serves as a good source of entertainment. People get entertained through music and television programs. 


But as a youth, The youth of the world is often the most ready to adapt to and learn to use new technologies, and they are certainly at the forefront of social media of all types. They have more technological know-how than many of older generations as well. therefore, is certainly having a rather large impact on their daily lives for good and for bad. it is important to watch to make sure that social media sites do not take over of our lives. but when it used appropriately, it can be a very good thing.



In conclusion, the media plays a constant role in our daily life. We are manipulated and influenced in our appearance, beliefs, desires and opinion. The media has formed our physical environment in which advertisement posters decorate our buildings, walls and transportation systems. This of course has changed within the development of mass media and will continue to change in the future.

Noon ang mga aaral ay hirap sa pag aaral dahil wala pang computer. Nagbasabasa o nag Scan ng mga libro sa librarya upang makahahanap ng mga sagot o katanungan. Pero ngayon sa pag imbento ng cumputer, mapapadali ang pag kuha ng mga impormasy
